Our Vision
To ensure that all teachers, school leaders, children, and young people are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, and tools to understand climate change, take meaningful action, and protect the environment—now and in the future.
Our Mission
We are committed to developing confident, informed teachers and school leaders who can deliver high-quality sustainability and climate change education. Through training, collaboration, and ongoing support, we will build a shared language around climate change, raise awareness of its impacts, and empower children to care for their community and environment.
We Aim To:
- Help children and adults understand climate change and its local and global impacts
- Support positive action to reduce environmental impact
- Prepare our community for extreme weather events
- Enable open, thoughtful discussion and questioning
- Support positive strategies to manage eco-anxiety
- Inspire hope, responsibility, and agency in young people
Our Approach
Our work is evidence-informed, inclusive, and ambitious. Climate change education is embedded into policies, curriculum, and everyday practice, ensuring all learners can engage meaningfully and equitably. Teachers, educators, and senior leaders are supported through high-quality CPD and sustained professional development.
Our Five Pillars for Sustainable Development
Our sustainability work is underpinned by the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and brought to life through five interconnected pillars:
Community
Living our collective values with authenticity and pride, fostering belonging, responsibility, and positive contribution to local and global communities.
Environment
Growing a better world by protecting and enhancing biodiversity and making meaningful use of our school sites for learning and care for nature.
Curriculum
Delivering rich, real-world learning experiences that embed sustainability and climate change across subjects and opportunities.
Innovation
Encouraging creativity, collaboration, and forward-thinking solutions through partnerships and ambitious approaches to learning.
Climate Positive
Taking practical action to reduce waste and carbon consumption across our school community and working towards a climate-positive future.
Our Ambition
By being creative, innovative, and values-driven, we aim to inspire a generation of knowledgeable, resilient young people who are ready to face the challenges of climate change with confidence, care, and hope.
